On Tuesday, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors on Tuesday granted a US$ 290000 payout to conciliate a lawsuit by guitarist of rock band Journey which said that the city jacked up fees unfairly to use a city landmark for his grand wedding ceremony.
The board unanimously voted to sanction the settlement with Neal Schon, who tied the knot with Real Housewives of DC star Michaele Salahi at the Palace of Fine Arts back in December 2013. The reception took place at an adjacent building which once the Exploratorium science museum.
Schon stated that he agreed to pay the city US$ 58000 for the use, but was stormed when he came to know days before the ceremony that he would have to submit US$ 240000 for the deluxe event to go on. He paid with reluctance, likening the price hike to “extortion.”

Just a day before she was not seen, Stephanie Scott, a high school teacher, had gone on a shopping tour to purchase a brand new pair of swimmers as well as some sunscreen. It was Saturday, just a week to the day before the twenty six year old resident of NSW Riverina town was set to tie the knot with her partner Aaron Leeson-Woolley, and Stephanie was shopping in readying for their ten day honeymoon to Tahiti.

Speaking a local media, Stephanie’s sister Robyn told that she spoke to her on that Saturday evening, and she was over the moon, she was very excited. She had been to Griffith that day shopping and getting ready for the honeymoon. They spoke about how this time next week she would be married.

There was just no clue. There is nothing that they are really aware of; she just has not been seen since Sunday. Her sister Kim reached out on her FB page, asking people to join the hunt. Continue reading 'Teacher missing a week before her marriage'»

On Thursday, in the midst of a lunch-hour rush, Brette Ellis broke from serving customers and making coffee at Parsonage Café to open a mystic envelope. As she took out her wedding ring from the envelope, she was totally in disbelief. The family heirloom, around two-hundred years old, had been stolen from her Victoria hone around a month ago.

As tear streamed down her face, Ellis told that she just could not believe this. The regulars at the restaurant cheered: “Hip hip hooray!”

The wedding  ring was handed by mail to Times Colonist earlier on Thursday morning along with a note which said: “I believe this is the ring from the paper. Please make sure it gets back to the family. Thank you.” Continue reading 'Stolen wedding band returned through mail delivery'»

In another shocking an unusual incident, a couple’s wedding was stopped at the eleventh hour by the Home Office Staff in Britain as they feared the bride- to-be to possess the wrong Visa.

The victims of this unfortunate incident, David Rouillon, aged 24 and Erika Britt Malone aged 28, were about to take their wedding vows at the Blackburn Register Office, in Lancashire when immigration officials rushed in and paused the ceremony. Mr. Rouillon mentioned of the rude treatment meted out to his fiancée as she was treated like a terrorist. He further said that the occasion which could have been the most memorable day of their life left them traumatized. Miss Malone was on a holiday visa and was ordered to give away her passport.

The couple had met each other eighteen months ago through an online gaming site and Rouillon had visited Erica in California to take their relation to the next level. They even got engaged and Miss Malone arrived in Blackburn to stay with her future husband’s family on a holiday visa for three months. The manner in which the lady was questioned left her traumatized. She was taken to a separate room and questioned for about 90 minutes and pressed her to remember several dates. They even asked her to surrender her passport.

David’s mother Menchu Rouillon mentioned, despite the hurdles her son and future daughter-in- law would still tie the knot sooner or later. A spokesman of the Home Office stated that they aim to build a fair immigration system and the officials have the right to question on the legitimacy of the wedding ceremony. They even said that Miss Malone had arrived in the UK without any entry clearance as a fiancée. They still have chances of getting married at a later date if the proper application is made and accepted.
